DescriptionHenry Lanceley established an engineering business in Windmill Lane (Victoria Road), c.1870, and this subsequently moved to George Street and later to Brook Street. In the late 1960s, the firm moved to Trafford Street. The records comprise accounts and drawings of such projects as mill machinery for the Dee mills, seed machines for Messrs. Dickson of Chester Ltd. and pumping machinery for Chester Waterworks Company.
